Williams Construction is a family run civil engineering and plant hire business based in North Wales. Established in 2001 by founder and owner David Williams we are proud to have a reputation for investing in quality equipment and local and national contractors also praise us for our professionalism onsite.
All of our plant equipment is hired out with a CITB & Topcon trained operators. Or it can be hired on a self-drive hire basis.
We don’t just specialise in public sector services such as road and rail applications. Our equipment really excels when it comes to private sector projects from sports fields to complex golf course creation – when it comes to high precision grading, we can do it all.
We are fully compliant and accredited by CITB & Wenlock Health & Safety
We also work closely with NRG, the engineering surveyors and software specialists whose 3D modelling system provides a streamlined operation in exporting models directly into the cab from a variety of design systems such as AutoCad and MX.
About Komatsu
We believe that Komatsu bulldozers and Topcon Machine Control is at the heart of future construction. Currently, Topcon 2D and 3D Machine Control systems increasing production and grading efficiency.
However, there’s more to Komatsu than just a Topcon partnership. We use the latest bulldozers from Komatsu because the latest 13 tonne D51PX-22 offers operators unprecedented visibility of the work equipment.
The Komatsu bulldozers combine a comfortable operator environment with the latest bulldozer technology giving excellent performance over the whole working cycle.
Our D51’s feature the revolutionary new ‘super slant nose’ design. This makes it the first bulldozer in the world where the full width of the blades topside and the backside of the cutting edges are visible from the cab. This unique safety feature allows the operator a clear view of the working area close to the blade, enabling faster, safer working in many applications that demand good visibility.
Furthermore, the radiator and cooling fan are positioned on the back of the machine – so no dust is blown up at the front to obscure the operators view. It also includes the next generation hydrostatic drive that delivers excellent traction even during sharp turns under a full load.
About Topcon
Topcon is one of the world’s largest, and leading manufacturers of positioning solutions and instruments, and offers a complete line up of high tech products for a multitude of construction applications.
Their 3D Machine Control Systems are used to increase productivity and improve the quality of finish grading.
We have invested in their 2D & 3D-Machine Control Local Positioning Solutions. A robotic, tracking total station is used to track the machine during operation. In real time the total station will compare the actual position of the machine versus the design and send corrections accordingly.
Using Total Station
technology, you can achieve accuracies of 5mm or better.
